our mission

Together we care for one another by providing spiritual and practical support in times of sorrow and joy.

Philosophy of care

Community is the first place we believe people should be known by the church.  Community is for the ministry of presence, meeting tangible needs, and practicing the ‘one anothers’ of scripture. These are the people individuals are doing life with on a daily basis.

Care and Recovery groups create a safe place for healing and growth in new life stages and seasons of suffering. These groups are run by individuals within the church body who desire to see people be known, grow, and find hope in Jesus.

Pastoral care is event based and/or specific to spiritual growth. Our Pastors and Elders desire to care by guiding our people spiritually, first and foremost pointing them to Christ and the Gospel. Pastors and Elders may refer to outside counseling from our resource list, as appropriate.

Hill City dreams of opening an in-house counseling center to better serve its church body and community. For now, we have counselors around the greater-Springfield area to refer you to.
